And…Cut!

First, there’s the kiss.  After that, the first official role as a married couple is the cutting of the cake.

Some couples don’t feel the need to find a song to accompany  their cake cutting, but I feel that it just enhances that special moment and makes it all the more memorable.

You might want to think about a song that has sweetness or love within the lyrics; there are lots to choose from in that category.  Or you could choose a song that has a special or significant meaning to both of you.  The cutting of the cake could quite easily flow into the first dance, if you factor this into your reception programme.

Here are a few tunes you might want to consider for that cake cutting moment

Cut the Cake – Average White Band

Sweet Love – Anita Baker

The Sweetest Thing – U2

How Sweet it is – James Taylor

Memories are made of this – Dean Martin

That’s Amore – Dean Martin

Love is all around – The Troggs

So Happy Together – The Turtles

When I’m Sixty -Four – The Beatles

Only Wanna Be With You – Hootie and the Blowfish

I got you Babe – Sonny and Cher

It Had To Be You – Harry Connick Jr

Love and Marriage – Frank Sinatra

Recipe for Love – Harry Connick Jr

Sugar, Sugar – The Archies

Because You Loved Me- Celine Dion

All My Life – KC and Jo Jo

Do you have any sweet song suggestions for cutting the cake?
