Cake or cupcake? The cartoonist

“I like cupcakes, but I have a problem with the decorations.  I like simplicity and a tiny cupcake with pink frosting and sprinkles simply isn’t my thing.

A simple slice of cake (preferably chocolate) – now that’s another matter entirely.”

    As the great Samuel Johnson observed, “Cupcakes represent the triumph of hope over experience.” Whereas, of course, “When a man is tired of carrot cake, he is tired of life.”
