When Laura Grambel graduated from Indiana University, her mother ordered a graduation cake for her graduation party. She ordered a photo-cake, with a scroll and requested that the cake should be in the school’s colours. Her final request was for the bakery to draw or ice a graduation cap on Laura’s head. A member of staff thought that she said ‘cat’ instead of ‘cap’ and drew a black cat perched on top of Laura’s head. When Laura’s mother went to collect the cake, she started laughing at the miscommunication. The bakery tried to wipe the cat off the cake and place a plastic cap on; but Laura’s mother told them to leave the cake, just as it was.
And here’s the said cake, with said cat.
This story has gone viral, and even appeared on Good morning America (they say even bad publicity is good publicity).
