Bless the bride

It was lovely to make these cupcakes, early one Saturday morning, for a special bridal shower breakfast, for a bride-to-be.

Vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream and vanilla cupcakes with strawberry buttercream - topped with vintage style roses (I love how the strwberry buttercream is even a vintage pink).

A week before her wedding a group of us girlies got together for a breakfast and just to bless this young woman before her wedding day.

It really was a beautiful time. She received words of wisdom from her mother. The married women gave her advice on being a wife, raising a family, in-laws, finances, keeping the romance alive, friends, and what to do when you’re right and he’s wrong…We also got a chance to pray for the wedding day itself and to send her off, in the right way, for married life. The wedding took place a week later and it was a gorgeous day! But you’ll have to wait to hear all about that special occasion…It was a vintage – African celebration of sorts.
