Oh come, all ye bakeful

For a creative slant on the Christmas story, why not try by Susie Bentley-Taylor and Bekah Moore, £6.99, published by The Good Book Company).  The book is a great way to explore the Christmas story with children through baking.

There are 12 bible stories, taking children through the events of the first Christmas, along with a cooking or baking activity.  There’s:

  • Spiced star tree decorations, reminding us that Jesus is the light of the world
  • Cranberry angel cakes to link with the angel’s message to Mary.

Gingerbread nativity set

This book would be a great for families with young children.  I can see some family food traditions taking shape,as you bake your way through this book.
