A game of two slices

Sport Relief logoI cannot wait for the Great British Bake Off Sport Relief Special, to start.  I seem to surprise people with the fact that I probably love football, as much as I love cake!  This is the lady who was five minutes late for her wedding, all because there was an England game, on the same day (it was in the middle of the World Cup, after all). I’m also thrilled to bits when I get asked to make a football themed cake.

The programme is going to be a winner in the Delights house.  To start with, the programme is all about getting your bake-on (but for a fantastic cause).

This year’s Bake-Off will have footballers David James, Jermaine Jenas and Chris Kamara, as contestants.

If Chris Kamara’s commentary and David (‘Calamity’)James goalkeeping are anything to go by, we are going to have memorable moments in the Bake Off tent.   I’m looking forward to football and cakey clichés…

  • Soggy bottom
  • A cake of two halves
  • Bake for 90 minutes
  • Half-time

I wonder who is going to win?…It’s all to play for, after all…
