If you follow a special diet for health, social or religious reasons, there’s no reason why you should miss out on cake.
If you bake an egg-less cake, here are a few alternative substitutes for eggs, which will still allow your cakes to come out light and moist. Swap one of the following for each egg your recipe requires:
75ml Apple sauce
1 tbsp Ground Flax and 3 tbs water (blend together until thick)
1 tbs Chia seeds mixed with 75ml water (leave to sit for 15 minutes)
3 tbsp Peanut butter
60ml Natural yoghurt
60ml Silken Tofu
60ml Vegetable Oil
½ Mashed Banana
