My resolutions for 2018 will be centred on all things cake. One resolution is to step up my creativity by creating cakes that have been roaming around in my head, or hidden away in a sketch pad, for years, and I’m not bringing them to life. Part of this new phase means I must make a start by making use of my airbrush.
I pleaded with my husband to buy me one for my birthday in 2016, and he did. I took a half-day course, learning the basics of using an airbrush and it is still sitting in the box, untouched. I watch several cake shows on TV, and marvel at how the simple shading with an airbrush can add colour, shade, depth, definition and sparkle to a cake. I’m not sure what’s been holding me back? But enough talk, it’s time to get cracking. I’ll keep you posted on how I get on.
